Puff N' Stuff

This morning I took a trip to my local Marshall's with mom, one of my favorite places to find really great bargains on contemporary and designer items. The initial plan was to shop for intimates but as always I ended up leaving with more. Majority of the store was wiped out leaving near-empty racks of handbags, shoes, and clothing. Not very surprising since everything was slashed to dirt cheap prices, for retail stores are currently preparing to roll in Spring items. As I passed through a stand with cute winter coats my eye caught something bright and cheery peeking from beneath a sea of dreary hues. It was the most adorable lime green and pink puffy jackets just waiting for me. Both colors were so striking and beautiful that I couldn't decide which one to get so I asked my fellow tweeps what they thought. After an 15 minutes of contemplating I came to a final decision....
Marked down from roughly $200 to $29.99, my new coat by sports brand CB Sports was a total steal! Its light weight, fluffy, and comes with an inner compartment for small items like money, keys or your cell phone (though those weigh a ton nowadays).
I can't wait to wear this shocking beauty with my kicks and winter boots. Puffer coats add a sporty twist to winter outfits. Do it up like the sexy Russian women uptown who rock theirs with killer stilettos and slinky denims or cute high school girls in my 'hood who pair theirs with high-tops and bold gold earrings. Anything goes! Stay tuned for an outfit post with me wearing 'Pinky'.

Just found the same jacket @ Marshalls in black with hot pink zippers. Love!

What's cool is that it's what's know as a low-profile down coat, designed to take up less space than trad puffy coats, for outdoorsy types that need to travel light. That inner pocket? It's there so you can roll up the whole jacket and smash it in there for lightweight travel. Cool, right?
